Munich Residence Concerts

The Munich Residence Concerts are a series of concerts organized by the Munich concert organizer Kulturgipfel , which has been taking place since 2006 and attracts around 5,000 visitors annually. It consists of performances of orchestral and chamber music compositions from the 17th to 19th centuries. Century as well as classical, rock, pop and open air concerts.

The Munich Residence Concerts play in the Herkulessaal , the Allerheiligen-Hofkirche , the Cuvilliés-Theater and the Brunnenhof.

Kulturgipfel GmbH , based in Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen as producer and organizer, is responsible for selecting the program for the concert series .

The Munich Residence Concerts play in the various rooms of the Munich Residence with different but always moderated focuses:

• Herkulessaal: orchestral works from the 19th century
• Allerheiligen-Hofkirche: Passions and oratorios by Johann Sebastian Bach and Georg Friedrich Handel , symphonies and sonatas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , Arcangelo Corelli and contemporaries, concert operas by Puccini , Donizetti , Verdi , Rossini , Mozart, chamber music from the 19th century and traditional Bavarian room music and literature concerts.
• Cuvilliés Theater: baroque operas (including Julius Caesar - GF Handel ), baroque concerts (including A. Vivaldi )
• Brunnenhof (as part of the Munich Open Air Summer): symphonic orchestral concerts, film music concerts, German songwriters, cover band concerts ( ABBA , Pink Floyd , Simon & Garfunkel , Queen , Austria 3 ), Carmina Burana and international artists such as Peter Kraus , Herbert Pixner , Albert Hamond , Wolfgang Ambros , Gregor Meyle and Angelo Kelly .
