Bruno Valentin (born January 22, 1972 in Nancy , France ) is a French clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Versailles .

Life

Bruno Valentin holds a degree in economics from the University of Paris-Dauphine . Thereafter, Valentin entered the seminary of the diocese of Versailles. From 1995 he continued studying Catholic theology in Rome as an alumne at the French Pontifical Seminary . Valentin received on 29 June 2000, the sacrament of Holy Orders . In 2001 he graduated from the Pontifical Gregorian University with a degree in ecclesiology .

Bruno Valentin then worked as a parish vicar in Trappes and as a delegate for youth pastoral care. From 2004 to 2012 he was pastor in Chatou . In addition, from 2007 to 2012 Valentin was in charge of training for the diocese of Versailles and from 2007 to 2010 dean of Le Vésinet . In 2012 Bruno Valentin became pastor in Montigny-le-Bretonneux and Voisins-le-Bretonneux as well as episcopal vicar for the Rambouillet deanery and member of the bishops' council. In addition, he was Episcopal Vicar for the Maule - Montfort - Houdan deanery from 2013 and for the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines deanery from 2015 .

On 14 December 2018 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Vaison and auxiliary bishop in Versailles. He was ordained episcopal on January 20th of the following year by the Bishop of Versailles, Éric Aumonier . Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Nanterre , Matthieu Rougé , and the Bishop of Amiens , Olivier Leborgne . His motto is Pertransivit benefaciendo - "He went about doing good" ( Acts 10.38  EU ).
