Titular diocese of Vincennes
Vincennes is a Roman Catholic titular bishopric .
On May 6, 1834, the Diocese of Vincennes was founded from areas of the Bardstown (USA), which in 1843 gave areas for the establishment of the Diocese of Chicago and in 1857 areas for the establishment of the Diocese of Fort Wayne . It belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Cincinnati and was replaced on March 28, 1898 by the Diocese of Indianapolis .
