Titular Archdiocese of Amastris
Amastris ( Italian : Amastri ) is a titular archbishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to the submerged diocese of the ancient city of Amastris (today Amasra ) in the Roman province of Bithynia et Pontus or in late antiquity Paphlagonia on the western Black Sea coast of today's Turkey . It has existed as a titular bishopric since 1892 and as a titular archbishopric since 1932.
