Tiziano Aspetti (* about 1559 in Padua , † 1606 in Pisa , in other sources 1565-1607) was an Italian sculptor of the Baroque .

Life

Aspetti learned the art of bronze casting in the local family business before studying sculpture with Girolamo Campagna . Though he also made occasional contributions to public projects, he worked mainly for Giovanni Grimani , a churchman who was known for his antiques and who supported many artists. Aspetti restored Grimanis ancient statues. At the end of his life he moved to Pisa to live with Grimani's great-nephew and, until his death, turned from bronze to stone sculpture.
