Tlaxcala FC

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tlaxcala Fútbol Club is a football club from Tlaxcala , the capital of the state of the same name in Mexico . Its home ground, Estadio Tlahuicole, in the suburb of Yauhquemehcan to the north of the city of Tlaxcala, can accommodate 7,000 spectators.

history

The club was founded in the summer of 2014 to continue having a professional football club in the city after the license of city rival Linces de Tlaxcala was sold.

The men's team of Tlaxcala FC received a starting place in the third-class Segunda División for the following season Apertura 2014 . There the Coyotes de Tlaxcala made their debut on August 23, 2014 in an away game at Atlético Coatzacoalcos, which was lost 2-1. The Coyotes' most successful season so far was Apertura 2015, in which ten out of 15 games (including a 6-0 win at Estadio Socum at the traditional club Albinegros de Orizaba ) were won and only one was lost.

However, the women's soccer team founded in the same year with the feminine name Coyotas de Tlaxcala has so far been more successful than the men's team . She reached the finals of the Mexican women's soccer championship in both tournaments in 2015 ( Clausura and Apertura ) , but in both cases they were lost to the Río Soccer Club SJR .
