The Tobacco Road Blues Band (TRBB) is an Austrian blues and blues rock band that was founded in 2014 by the two guitarists and singers Peter Prammerdorfer and Mike Diwald.
history
Initially intended as a blues cover band, Prammerdorfer / Diwald wrote the Christmas blues Under the Christmas Tree for a Christmas TV show in which they had been booked as an act in 2015 . The number was well received by the audience and also received radio airplay, so that the two musicians composed and wrote additional titles.
CD number 1
The recordings for the first CD followed in Prammerdorfer's Southendmusic Studios in St. Veit (Carinthia / Austria). The band's regular line-up included Prammerdorfer and Diwald, Wolfgang Reichmann (bass) and Bernd Bechtloff (drums). The CD was presented in March 2017 in the Eboardmuseum in Klagenfurt (Carinthia / Austria). With the CD in their luggage, numerous concerts were played in Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. Personnel changes took place when Bechtloff and Reichmann left. From then on Klaus Sauli and Christian Egger took over the drums and bass.
CD number 2
For the concerts in 2017/2018, new numbers were added to the program, which were so well received by the audience that the band members decided to record CD number 2 with the title Don't Tread on Me . Guest musicians include Clemens Herzog (keyboards), Wolfram Dullnig (saxophones) and Kommissar-Rex composer Gerd Schuller . The CD was presented in two sold out concerts on November 15 and 16, 2018 in the Eboardmuseum.
DVD "Live At The Museum"
The CD presentation concert on November 16, 2018 in the Eboardmuseum was recorded with several cameras and supplemented by video clips in which the founding members Peter Prammerdorfer and Mike Diwald talk about the band as a DVD entitled "Live At The Museum" on October 3 Released in 2019.
Live with Friends @ Southendmusic
The TRBB regularly invites musicians to their studio to make music together. The result is recorded with up to 10 cameras and published on its own YouTube channel. In recent years, national and international musicians such as Dudley Taft from America, Oliver Mally from Styria, Marino Mrcela from Slovenia and Mike Sponza from Italy have accepted the Tobaccos' invitation.
