Tobias Nißler

Tobias Nißler (born November 23, 1853 in Alfershausen ; † June 2, 1907 there ) was a German farmer, mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Nißler attended the elementary school in Alfershausen. Since 1883, when he took over his parents' property, he was self-employed as a farmer. He served from 1874 to 1877 with the Royal Bavarian 12th Infantry Regiment in Neu-Ulm . Afterwards he was mayor of his birthplace Alfershausen for 15 years. In October 1902 he resigned from this office for reasons of health. He was also a member of the District Council since 1887, the Bavarian General Synod since 1889 and holder of the Cross of Merit for the Order of Michael.

From 1891 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies and from 1898 a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Middle Franconia  5 ( Dinkelsbühl , Gunzenhausen , Feuchtwangen ) and the German Conservative Party . Both mandates ended with his death.
