Tobias Schmid

Tobias Schmid (born February 6, 1973 in Munich ) is a German political functionary .

Life

After graduating from high school and completing basic military service in Landshut and Munich, Schmid studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1994 . At the same time as his studies , he was accepted into the Corps Bavaria in 1995.

Schmid has been a member of the CSU since 1992 and has been involved in the CSU in Stadtbergen for years . There he is the local chairman of the party, belongs to the city ​​council and is chairman of the CSU city council group. He is also deputy CSU district chairman.

In addition, after completing his studies, he worked as managing director of the CSU Swabia until 2015 , until he was initially appointed as deputy department head in association and member management of the CSU state management in January 2019 as Markus Söder's office manager in the Franz-Josef-Strauss-Haus. For a short time, Schmid was responsible for all political fields as well as the external organization of the CSU for Bavaria as a division manager. He was also deputy chief executive of his party.

At the beginning of 2020 he was elected to the CSU executive committee and is a member of the presidium. At the same time he was promoted to chief executive officer of the CSU.
