Tobias Voss (born March 1, 1992 in Dorsten ) is a German professional in Thai boxing. In 2011 he became Pro-Am German champion in K1 and Thai boxing according to the rules of the DKKV. In addition, Voss was German amateur champion in 2011 and 2012 according to the rules of the WKN in cruiserweight and King of Riyadh. In 2012 Voss became the German professional heavyweight champion of the IKBA. In 2015 he became world champion according to the rules of the DKKO.

Life

Voss grew up in Dorsten . He graduated from high school in Schermbeck and studied political science at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Duisburg .

He started Thai boxing in his hometown of Dorsten and drew attention to himself by defeating several highly favored opponents. So he won the final of the German amateur championships against the favored René Lemke by TKO . His amateur record was 24 fights of which 10 wins and 4 fights he won by knockout.

Voss made his professional debut on April 2, 2011 against the experienced Juri Zizer, who already had four professional fights. From July 2, 2011, he also carries the title of King of Riyadh, as he beat Abus Magomedov in the Riad Rumble. On September 17, 2011 Voss defeated Güven Güden after a 5-round fight for the German Pro-Am championship title in K1 according to the rules of the DKKV and on October 15, 2011 Voss defeated the five-time WKA world champion Daniel Dörrer and won the German Pro-Am championship belt in Muay Thai. Also in 2012 he became German champion in Muay Thai according to the WKN version on January 22, 2012 and thus defended his title.

On February 26, 2012, he lost by knockout against Denis Liebau at the K1 Maximum IV in Recklinghausen. On April 28, 2012 he fought against the Berlin Femi Dadzie, but lost the German K1 championship unanimously on points. In 2014 Voss moved to the Berlin professional boxing warehouse. On October 24, 2015 Tobias Voss defeated the 7-time kickboxing world champion Daniel Dörrer and thus became kickboxing world champion himself according to the rules of the DKKO.

On February 1, 2019, Voss was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for rape ; In addition, there is a judgment from 2017, when another instance of the regional court sentenced him to 1 year and eight months probation for dangerous bodily harm.
