Today Newspaper was an independent, private newspaper in the West African state of Gambia . It was founded in July 2007 by the Nigerian journalist Abdul Hamid Adiamoh and initially appeared with three issues a week. After two months it was switched to a daily edition. The newspaper was based on Kairaba Avenue in Serrekunda - Kanifing .

Today is the first newspaper in The Gambia to be printed in color .

Around 2011, Abdul Hamid Adiamoh was the managing director . At that time there were 15 permanent employees and 15 freelancers.

The newspaper was discontinued after 2011.
