Todd McCaffrey
Todd McCaffrey (* 27. April 1956 in Montclair , New Jersey as Todd Johnson ) is an American science fiction - writers .
Life
Todd McCaffrey is the youngest son of science fiction writer Anne McCaffrey . He has a brother, Alec Anthony (* 1952), and a sister, Georgeanne (* 1959). His parents' marriage ended in divorce in 1970.
He went to school on the American east coast and from 1970 in Dublin , Ireland . He attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem , Pennsylvania for a year , where he studied engineering . From 1978 to 1982 he was in the US Army as a scout, where he received several awards. In 1985 he graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in mechanical engineering, also with honors. In 1986 he started working as a computer programmer in California . In 1988 he acquired a pilot's license to pilot private aircraft.
In 1988 he received his first money for a story he had written, and since 1990 he has worked exclusively as a writer.
