Marianne Nölle (* 1938 ) is a German serial killer . In extensive media coverage, she became known as the Angel of Death of Cologne .

The geriatric nurse killed six people during her working hours. She always followed the same pattern, giving her victims a fatal overdose of the antipsychotic Truxal (with the active ingredient chlorprothixene ). After investigations, which were started through a theft report from a relative, Nölle was arrested. In 1993 she was sentenced to life imprisonment . To this day, Nölle denies having committed the crime.
