Todor Borow

Todor Borow , actually Todor Tsvetanow Todorow ( Bulgarian Тодор Боров ; born January 30, 1901 in Lom , † May 27, 1993 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian bibliographer , literary and library scholar.

Life

Borow first studied Slavic Studies in Sofia and then went to Berlin to study library science from 1924 to 1927 . In 1947 he became a professor at the University of Sofia . From 1941 he was director of the Bulgarian Bibliographical Institute until it was affiliated to the Bulgarian National Library in Sofia in 1964 .

Todor Borow emerged as the initiator and head of the development of bibliographic reference works.
