Toivo Juergenson (born August 28, 1957 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian politician.

Toivo Juergenson attended school in Tallinn from 1964 to 1975. After graduating from high school, he studied civil engineering at Tallinn University of Technology from 1975 to 1980 . He then worked in various Soviet companies and planning committees.

Toivo Juergenson was one of the founders of the Estonian Christian Democratic Party ( Estonian Eesti Kristlik-Demokraatliku Erakond ) in 1988 , one of the first free Estonian parties during the Gorbachev era. He was a board member of the party until the merger with other political groups in 1991, from which the Estonian Patriotic Union ( Isamaaliit ) emerged in 1995. Jürgenson remained its chairman until 1998 before he was replaced by Mart Laar .

Toivo Jürgenson was a member of the Estonian Parliament ( Riigikogu ) from 1992 to 2003 , and from 1995 to 1999 as the parliamentary group leader of the Fatherland Union. In 1994/95, Jürgenson was Minister of Economics in the cabinet of Prime Minister Andres Tarand and from 1999 to 2002 Minister of Transport and Infrastructure in the Laar I and Laar II cabinets .

Toivo Jürgenson has been working in the private sector since 2003. Among other things, he is CEO of the Tallinn Airport Company ( AS Tallinna Lennujaam ).

Toivo Jürgenson is married and has two daughters.
