Tokyo Midtown

Tokyo Midtown ( Japanese 東京 ミ ッ ド タ ウ ン Tōkyō Middotaun ) is a building complex in Tokyo's Minato district , which was completed in March 2007. The associated Midtown Tower is one of the tallest skyscrapers in Tokyo with a height of 248 m and 54 floors .

In total, the Tokyo Midtown complex consists of six buildings that were erected on a property of just 7 hectares. These buildings house offices, a hotel, apartments, numerous shops and restaurants. The ensemble is already recognized worldwide as one of the most successful urban planning implants, comparable to the Rockefeller Center in New York City .

Geographically and according to the postal address, it is on the southern edge of the Akasaka district ; because of its proximity to the Roppongi subway station , it is often assigned to the Roppongi district . Tokyo Midtown is underground connected to the local transport network via the subways of the Toei Ōedo Line (E23) and the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line (H04).
