Tolliella is a genus of butterflies from the family of cosmopterigidae (Cosmopterigidae).

features

The representatives of the genus Tolliella are relatively large moths with a wingspan of 17 to 24 millimeters and have a similar forewing pattern as the species of the genus Hodgesiella . The genital armature of the males is similar to that of the Eteobalea species, but the right brachium is very long and straight and the valves are almost parallel-walled. In females, the sterigma protrudes and is sclerotized . The ductus bursae and the corpus bursae are membranous, the signa are not formed.

distribution

The genus is common in Asia Minor , the Middle East ( Turkey , Lebanon , Syria , Jordan , Iraq ) and China ( Henan Province ).

biology

Nothing is known about the biology of the species.

Systematics

The type species of the genus is Stagmatophora fulguritella Ragonot , 1895. The genus Tolliella was monotypical until the description of Tolliella truncatula in 2009 .
