Life
Tom Liwa founded the band Flowerpornoes in 1985 , which released an album again in 2007 after a ten-year break. They appeared in 1987 in the opening act of the Germany tour of the Go-Betweens . Tom Liwa has been a solo artist for 35 years and has released numerous CDs over the years. He was also involved in various projects ( Paradise of the Unloved , Tim Isfort Orchestra etc.) Liwa wrote several texts for the band Klee , from which he has now distanced himself. His solo work spans a wide musical spectrum from loud indie rock (Project No Existe ) to intimate chamber music for the ukulele (album Goldrausch )
Tom Liwa teaches interested parties in workshops and seminars that are a mixture of creative writing and self-awareness. Since the beginning of the 2000s at the latest, spirituality and energy work have had a high priority in Liwa's life. This is partly reflected in his work. In addition, he is involved in cultural work, was involved in a project of the cultural capital of the Ruhr area in 2010 and organized a festival in March 2012 as part of the Duisburger Akzente , in which artists from different fields cooperated with each other. Liwa is the father of five children and lives in the village of Altengeseke in the Soester Börde .
