Tom McTigue

Tom McTigue (* 1959 ) is an American actor and comedian .

Life

Tom McTigue was born in Washington State in 1959 . He studied drama at Washington State University . After studying acting in New York City, he moved to Seattle , where he appeared in various plays. He later turned to stand-up comedy .

As a comedian, he has appeared live and on television networks such as HBO , Showtime and Comedy Central . Since the late 1980s he has also appeared as an actor. From 1991 to 1992 he had a recurring role as Harvey Miller in the television series Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu . This was followed by numerous guest roles in television series such as Beverly Hills, 90210 , Roseanne and Hardball . In 2011 he took on a role in The Descendants - Family and Other Affairs . In 2014 he appeared in Richard Linklater's award-winning film Boyhood as the teacher Mr. Turlington . McTigue has also appeared in more than 350 commercials as a speaker and actor.

He lives as a single father with his daughter in Austin , Texas .
