Tom Pedigo

Tom Pedigo (born March 4, 1940 in Los Angeles , California , † January 5, 2000 there ) was an American production designer .

Life

Pedigo began his career on the film staff in 1973 as a foreman on the set of Robert Aldrich's action film A Train for Two Scoundrels . After another film as a foreman, he switched to television in 1976, where he had a career as a production designer that lasted over two decades. He was involved in the classic series Kojak - Operation in Manhattan and Spaceship Enterprise - The Next Century, as well as the multi-award-winning miniseries Shogun . For his work in television he was nominated three times for the Primetime Emmy between 1981 and 1996 , which he won in 1993.

Pedigo worked as a production designer on a total of five feature films, including Star Trek III: In Search of Mr. Spock and True Men . 1984 he was for James L. Brooks ' film drama Terms of Endearment together with Polly Platt for the Oscar in the category Best Production Design nominated, but the award went this year to the film drama Fanny and Alexander .
