Tom Siara (born July 30, 1990 in Berlin ) is a former German swimmer and today's swimming coach. His greatest success was taking part in the 2011 European Short Course Championships in Szczecin , where he took fourth place with the 4 × 50 m freestyle relay. At the CISM Military World Games 2011 in Rio de Janeiro , he became military world champion in the 100 m freestyle and vice-military world champion in the 200 m freestyle and 200 m butterfly.

career

In the third grade, Tom Siara learned to swim in a swimming course. He graduated from high school at the Werner Seelenbinder Sports School in Berlin. In September 2010 Siara moved from the Berlin Swimming Club to the Neukölln Swimming Community in Berlin. His trainer was Norbert Warnatzsch . In 2014 he ended his competitive sports career.

Siara studied sports science at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He led the training of the Berlin water rats performance group as a trainer. Since October 2018 he has been working as the state trainer of the Brandenburg State Swimming Association at the base in Cottbus .
