The German Short Course Championships in 2012 in swimming took place from 22 to 25 November 2012 in Wuppertal Schwimmoper place and were from SV Bayer Wuppertal organized. The organizer was the German Swimming Association . At the same time found the French Chartres the European Short Course Swimming Championships in 2012 instead. Both competitions served to qualify for the 2012 World Short Course Championships in Istanbul . There were competitions for men and women in 20 disciplines each, including two relay competitions.

Margin notes

The men's relay of SSG Leipzig with Herbst , Golban , Wolst and Sikatzki set a German record in 1: 39.35 over the rarely swum 4 × 50 m back in a record attempt in the context of the short course championships on the second day of the competition.

The women's relay of the SG Stadtwerke München with Schlegel , Roas , Ehrenbauer and Wenk set a German record in 4: 07.48 on the third day of the competition in a record attempt in the context of the short course championships over the rarely swum 4 × 100 m back.
