Christoph Fildebrandt
Christoph Fildebrandt (born May 27, 1989 in Wuppertal ) is a German swimmer .
Fildebrandt won gold with the 4-by-100-meter freestyle relay and silver with the 4-by-200-meter freestyle relay at the 2007 European Junior Championships. He won his only international medal to date in the adult class at the European Short Course Championships in 2010 , where he finished second in the 4 x 50 meter freestyle relay after Steffen Deibler , Markus Deibler and Stefan Herbst and the German relay took silver behind the Italians won. At the 2011 swimming world championships , Fildebrandt took seventh place with the 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay and fourth with the 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay. In 2012 Fildebrandt won the 100 meter title at the German Championships in 48.84 seconds. At the European Swimming Championships in 2012 , Fildebrandt took seventh place with the German 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay. In the same year he won the bronze medal with the 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay at the short course world championships in a German record time.
The 1.93 m tall Fildebrandt used to belong to SG Remscheid and in 2007 moved to SG Bayer Wuppertal / Uerdingen / Dormagen with his coach Jürgen Schmitz . He has been the police commissioner for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia since October 2013.
In November 2013 he announced his move to SSG Saar Max Ritter in order to prepare for the 2016 Summer Olympics .
