SSG Saar Max Ritter

The swimming start community Saar Max Ritter, also SSG Saar Max Ritter, is an amalgamation of 15 swimming departments and clubs from Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate .

The name of the SSG is derived from the former FINA President Max Ritter , the association is based in Illingen . Today over 80 percent of the active swimmers from Saarland belong to the SSG through their home club. The Bundesliga teams of the starting communities are mostly composed of the members of the cadre of the Saarland Swimming Association (SSB).

successes

The men's team has been swimming in the 1. Bundesliga swimming again since 2006 after winning the German championship with Klaus Steinbach in the 1980s . The SSG women's team was also represented in the 1st Bundesliga for the last time in the 2005/2006 to 2009 season, but had to return to the 2nd Bundesliga South. Successful swimmers of the SSG Saar Max Ritter are currently (2012) Lucien Haßdenteufel from the Alt Saarbrücker Turn- und Sportverein (ATSV Saarbrücken ) and Julika Niegisch from the DJK Dudweiler.
