Lisa Vitting (born July 9, 1991 in Moers ) is a German swimmer . It started for SG Mülheim until mid-2009 . Since the 2009/2010 season she has the first right to start for SG Essen .

Lisa Vitting started swimming at the age of seven and competed in her first competition when she was nine. She celebrated her first major successes at the SV NRW short course championships in 2004 in Aachen , where the then 13-year-old set German records for her age group in the 50 meter freestyle, 50 meter back and 100 meter medley. At the German age group championships 2004 in Leipzig , Vitting was able to win her first medal at national level with bronze over 50 meters freestyle. In 2005, she won the title of German youth champion over the 50 meter freestyle in Berlin. In addition, she took second place over 50 meters butterfly and third over 100 meters freestyle in her class.

The German Swimming Association had Vitting start in the 4 × 100-meter freestyle relay at the 2006 Junior European Swimming Championships on Mallorca . As a starting swimmer, with a good time of 56.65 seconds, she laid the foundation for winning the relay silver medal. In 2008 Vitting was part of the DSV squad for the Junior World Championships in Monterrey . She won the silver medal with the 4 × 100 meter freestyle relay. She was also called up for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing .

At the German short course championships in 2008 in Essen, she won her first national title in the open class over 100 meters and 200 meters freestyle and qualified for the European short course championships in Rijeka. At the European Short Course Championships she has since achieved twice (2008, 2009) a 3rd place and once (2010) a 2nd place in 4 × 50 m freestyle and once (2010) a 2nd place in 4 × 50 m medley.

At the European Swimming Championships in Budapest in 2010, she won the first gold medal for the German team in the freestyle relay together with Daniela Samulski , Silke Lippok and Daniela Schreiber .

At the FINA / Arena World Cup in Berlin in 2010, she reached the final over 200 meters freestyle.

Lisa Vitting achieved bronze with the German swimming relay team Britta Steffen , Silke Lippok and Daniela Schreiber at the 2011 World Swimming Championships in Shanghai.

At the European Swimming Championships in Debrecen in 2012, the freestyle relay, which was also composed, won gold for the German team.

At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, the freestyle relay with Vitting came in 9th place in 4 × 100 m freestyle.

In 2013 Lisa Vitting officially ended her swimming career at the age of 22.
