Leonie Antonia Beck (born May 27, 1997 in Augsburg) is a German swimmer from the Würzburg 05 eV swimming club and has already participated in several international championships, including the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She won two silver medals at the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow and bronze at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju.

Career

Beck won her first German championship in the open class as a fifteen year old at the German Swimming Championships in 2012 over 1500 m in 16: 41.69 minutes. and beat last year's champion, Isabelle Härle . In 2013 she repeated this success in 16: 11.88. At the German Short Course Championships in 2012 she won both the 400 and 800 m (4: 11.29 and 8: 26.17 respectively) and in 2013 rose to a triple success over 400, 800 and 1500 m (4: 04.84, 8th place) : 17.50, 15: 56.32). On the 2015 long track , she won over 800 m in 8: 27.37, beating last year's winner Sarah Köhler . This time, as well as her third place over 1500 m behind Härle and Köhler, also meant meeting the standards for the 2015 World Swimming Championships in Kazan .

At the 2019 World Swimming Championships , she won the bronze medal over 5 km in open water swimming and qualified over 10 km for the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 .
