Tom Whedon

Thomas Avery "Tom" Whedon (born August 3, 1932 in New York City , New York - † March 23, 2016 ) was an American screenwriter and television producer .

life and career

Whedon was born in 1932 to Louise Carroll Angell and screenwriter John Whedon .

He worked on sitcoms like Benson , Imbiß mit Biß and Golden Girls , among others .

Tom Whedon was married twice, from 1959 to 1973 to Ann Lee Jeffries and, after divorce from Jeffries, from 1974 to his death to Pamela Merriam Webber. Three of his five sons, Jed , Joss and Zack Whedon , are also screenwriters.
