The Tormandl nunatak is a nunatak in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Ford Ranges, it rises 11 km east of Mount Stancliff on the southern flank of Crevasse Valley Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after the aircraft electronics engineer Frank Tomandl Jr., who was part of the winter team on the McMurdo in 1968 Station had heard.
