Tomasz Jaworek (born February 14, 1970 in Mikołów ) is a former Polish football player on the position of center forward. He played for FC Energie Cottbus in the 2nd Bundesliga .

Career

Jaworek played for AKS Mikołów in his youth. After a few positions, he moved to Ruch Chorzów in 1990 . There Jaworek completed 62 games in the Ekstraklasa , the highest Polish league, and scored eight goals. In 1992 he was signed by 1. FSV Mainz 05 , where he made 23 appearances and two hits in the 2. Bundesliga in the 1992/93 season . After the season there was a short stay at the Icelandic club Víkingur Reykjavík , before he moved to SC Paderborn 07 in 1994 . There he was used twelve times in the Regionalliga West-Südwest, but was mostly only a substitute. Two years later he moved to FC Energie Cottbus , but only made two appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga. This was followed by a detour to Poland to Olimpia Piekary Śląskie . Then Jaworek played from 1998 to 1999 at FC 08 Homburg and scored 6 goals in 26 games. He then moved to FC Carl Zeiss Jena , for which he no longer scored in eight games.
