Tomasz Makowski

Tomasz Makowski (born March 1, 1973 in Ełk ) is a Polish politician of the Ruch Palikota (Palikot movement).

He is a graduate of the Białystok University of Applied Sciences ( Politechnika Białostocka ) and the Center for European Studies of the University of Warsaw . After graduating, he worked for the Zakład Elektrotechniki Motoryzacyjnej (automotive electronics company) in Ełk for 17 years . In 2006 he successfully stood for the Platforma Obywatelska ("Citizens' Platform") as a candidate for the Ełk City Council and was a member of it until 2010. 2007 to 2008 Makowski was the authorized representative of the Starost (District Administrator) of the Powiat Ełcki for standardization and information systems. In 2008 he became the Ełk Municipality authorized representative for EU funding . From 2008 to 2010 he was chairman of the Ełker table football club . In 2010 there were disputes within the Platforma Obywatelska, as a result of which Tomasz Makowski was excluded from the party. At the end of the year he applied unsuccessfully in the elections for city president . In the 2011 parliamentary elections , he ran for the Ruch Palikota in the Olsztyn constituency . With 7,980 votes, Makowski won a seat for the Sejm .

Tomasz Makowski is married and has two daughters.
