Tomasz Sulej

Tomasz Sulej (born August 6, 1974 in Warsaw ) is a Polish paleontologist who specializes in the study of basal archosauria , amphibious temnospondyli and the palaeontology of the Triassic .

Life

Tomasz Sulej studied biology at the University of Warsaw from 1993 to 1998 and graduated with a master's degree . In 2006 he received his doctorate under Jerzy Dzik at the Institute of Paleontology of the Polish Academy of Sciences ( PAN ). In 2011 he became head of the Museum for Evolution of the Paleontological Institute of the PAN and is still today (as of 2018). His habilitation followed in 2014 . In 2018 he published his discovery of Lisowicia bojani together with Grzegorz Niedźwiedzki . This elephant-sized dicynodon was discovered during an excavation near Lisowice in 2008 and lived in the Upper Triassic about 210 million years ago .

Tomasz Sulej is married and has three children.
