politics

Gredig headed the cantonal GLP secretariat from 2010 to 2013, headed the cantonal and national council election campaigns in 2011 and became the managing director of the parliamentary group. In 2015, she founded the glp lab with National Councilor Kathrin Bertschy , which she still heads today. She belongs to a group around Bertschy and the GLP President Jürg Grossen , which is developing a contemporary, non-hierarchical form of organization for the national party. In 2018 she was elected to the city council of Zurich with a noticeably high number of panaschier voices. On November 20, 2018, the general assembly together with Nicola Forster unanimously elected Gredig as co-president of the Zurich GLP cantonal party. The duo wants to renew the party and appeal to younger and digitally affine voter segments. In addition, there is the rejection of the left-right scheme, which Gredig opposes on the political front line between progressive and conservative forces. Forster and Gredig led the GLP to a victory in the cantonal elections in March 2019, and Gredig won a seat in the Zurich cantonal council . On June 25, 2019, the general assembly of the GLP Canton of Zurich adopted the list for the National Council elections and placed Corina Gredig in third place behind the two previous Tiana Angelina Moser and Martin Bäumle. She was elected to the National Council on October 20, 2019.
