Priska Seiler Graf (born August 29, 1968 in Zurich ; resident in Kloten and Rafz ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Education, job and private life

Seiler Graf grew up in Kloten in the Holberg district. After primary school in the Hinterwiden schoolhouse, she attended the Zürcher Unterland canton school in Bülach and graduated in 1987 with the Matura type A. In 1992 she successfully completed her training as a secondary school teacher. In 1995 she became a qualified ballet teacher.

Seiler Graf is married, has three children and lives in Kloten. Her brother is the linguist Guido Seiler .

Political career

In 1998, Seiler Graf was elected a councilor in Kloten. From 2001 to 2003 she was a member of the Parliamentary Planning Commission. From 2001 to 2003 she was President of the SP parliamentary group, after which she was president of the local council until 2004. From 2004 to 2010 she was a member of the Business and Audit Committee. Since 2010 she has been the city councilor of Kloten responsible for the security department.

From 2005 to 2015, Seiler Graf was a Cantonal Councilor . Until 2010 she was on the Commission for Energy, Transport and Environment, then on the Commission for State and Municipalities.

She was elected to the National Council in the Swiss parliamentary elections in 2015 .

On May 22, 2017, the party elected Seiler Graf together with Cantonal Councilor Andreas Daurù as co-president of the SP of the Canton of Zurich.

In January 2020, Seiler Graf announced that he would run for the presidium of the SP Switzerland with the French National Councilor Mathias Reynard .
