Thomas Matter
Thomas Matter (born March 23, 1966 in Liestal ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and politician ( SVP ).
Life
Matter completed an apprenticeship as a banker and then worked in this area. In 1994 he co-founded the Swissfirst financial group and became its managing director. In 2005 he founded the Matter Group. In 2011 he was founding president of the Neue Helvetische Bank.
He was politically active in a variety of ways. a. at the IG Swiss Entrepreneurs against anti-business initiatives and the SP tax initiative. In 2012 he became the bag master of the party leadership of the SVP. Following the resignation of Christoph Blocher in 2014 he was appointed as Nachrückender for the Canton of Zurich as National sworn.
He is married and has four children.
