Markus Hutter (born February 20, 1957 in Winterthur ; resident in Aarburg ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and politician ( FDP. Liberals ). He was a member of the National Council from 2003 to 2014 .

Markus Hutter was Winterthur City Councilor from 1994 to 2002 and Cantonal Councilor to Zurich from 2002 to 2003 . In the Swiss parliamentary elections in 2003 he was elected to the National Council, in the elections on October 23, 2011 he was re-elected. There he was a member of the Finance Commission and the Commission for Transport and Telecommunications. His political priorities were economy , transport and education . He resigned on May 8, 2014, followed by Beat Walti .

Hutter presides over the Winterthur section of the home owners' association , the Winterthur branch of the Swiss Automobile Club and the associations “Aktion liberaler Aufbruch” and FDP Switzerland International . From 2009 to 2012, Hutter was Vice President of the FDP, The Liberals. He is the Vice President of the Canton of Zurich Trade Association.

Markus Hutter is an economist and co-owner of the family company “Hutter Auto Winterthur”. He is married, has two children and lives in Winterthur. Hans Hutter , a Spanish fighter in the Thälmann battalion , was his father.
