Mauro Tuena

Mauro Tuena (born January 25, 1972 in Zurich ; resident in Poschiavo and Zurich) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ).

Life

Tuena grew up in the Aussersihl district of the city of Zurich. He now works as a computer technician and is a partner in a small computer company.

Political career

Tuena joined the Young SVP of the City of Zurich in 1991 . From April 1998 to November 2015 he was in the Zurich city parliament (municipal council), from 2004 to 2006 he was president of the social commission. From May 2015 to November 2015 he was a member of the Cantonal Council , where he was a member of the Commission for Energy, Transport and Environment (KEVU). In the Swiss parliamentary elections in 2015 in October, he was elected to the National Council and was a member of the Commission for Science, Education and Culture. In May 2016 he was elected President of the SVP City of Zurich.
