Mathias Reynard (born September 7, 1987 in Sion , resident in Savièse ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

biography

Reynard was on the Grand Council of the Canton of Valais from March 2009 to November 2011 , and from 2005 to 2009 he chaired the Young SP Lower Valais.

In the Swiss parliamentary elections in 2011 he was elected to the National Council. As the youngest newly elected member of parliament, Mathias Reynard gave the opening speech of the newly constituted National Council.

In 2012 the youth session awarded him the Prix ​​Jeunesse for his commitment to education .

In January 2020, Reynard announced that he would run for the presidium of the SP Switzerland together with National Councilor Priska Seiler Graf .

Reynard is a teacher. He is not married.
