The Switzerland at the weekend is a Swiss newspaper or a jacket part for regional newspapers of Northwestern Switzerland , Central Switzerland and Eastern Switzerland . It appears on Saturdays as an extended newspaper with reading material for the weekend. You should thus u. a. replace the former Sunday newspapers Schweiz am Sonntag , Ostschweiz am Sonntag and Zentralschweiz am Sonntag .

Established in 2017

From September 2007 to February 2017, the Sunday newspaper Schweiz am Sonntag (until 2013 Sunday ) was published as the seventh edition of az Nordwestschweiz . Since March 4, 2017, az Nordwestschweiz has been issuing the expanded weekend edition under the name Schweiz am Sonntag in its place on Saturdays .

Extension 2019

In March 2019, CH Media announced that it would no longer print the newspaper Zentralschweiz on Sunday for financial reasons. Slumps in the advertising market would have led to it. The last issue appeared on June 30, 2019, after similar regional Sunday newspapers had previously been discontinued. As a replacement, the publisher has been offering readers Switzerland on weekends since July 6, 2019 .
