Tomislav Butina (born March 30, 1974 in Zagreb , SR Croatia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian football player .

The goalkeeper began his career in 1982 with Radnik Velika Gorica, for whom he played for one season. His next team was Dinamo Zagreb for whom he guarded the gate from 1983 to 1994. This was followed by one season each at Karlovac, Samobor and Slaven Belupo, before returning to Dinamo Zagreb in 1997.

The crowd favorite moved to Belgium for Club Bruges in 2003 . After three years he signed a contract with the Greek club Olympiacos Piraeus in the 2006/2007 season .

Butina, an outspoken penalty killer, was part of the Croatian team at the 2002 World Cup and EURO 2004 .

Butina was also part of the 2006 World Cup line-up. Since he was not really fit due to an injury, Stipe Pletikosa was used during the World Cup .

In the first half of the 2010/11 season he played one more game for Dinamo Zagreb and ended his active career in the same season.
