Tommy Berntsen
Tommy Berntsen (born December 18, 1973 in Lørenskog ) is a former Norwegian football player.
Career
Tommy started his career at Vålerenga IF , but did not make the jump to the first team. He then spent the next few years in lower leagues with the local clubs Lørenskog IF and Skjetten SK. His breakthrough came in 1998 when he joined Lillestrøm SK and formed one of the best center-back pairs in the first division with Torgeir Bjarmann .
In 2000, Berntsen moved to Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany for over EUR 1.8 million . His time with the Hessen was not successful and due to various injuries he came on three missions. He returned to Norway in 2002 and signed with Lyn Oslo .
Tommy Berntsen appeared twice for Norway . His last international match was against Singapore in 2004 .
