Tomoaki Matsukawa ( Japanese 松川 友 明 , Matsukawa Tomoaki ; born April 18, 1973 in Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Matsukawa learned to play football on the school team at Toin Gakuen High School and the university team at Komazawa University . He signed his first contract with Bellmare Hiratsuka in 1996 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club he completed 79 first division games. In 2000 he moved to league rivals Kyoto Purple Sanga . At the end of the 2000 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2001 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. For the club he completed 46 games. In August 2002 he moved to league competitor Consadole Sapporo . In 2003 he moved to the third division YKK . At the end of 2003 he ended his career as a soccer player.
