Tomoyasu Andō ( Japanese 安藤 智 安 , Andō Tomoyasu ; born May 23, 1974 in Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Andō learned to play football on the school team of Shimizu Commercial High School and the university team of Komazawa University . He signed his first contract in 1997 with the Urawa Reds . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In September 1997 he was loaned to league rivals Avispa Fukuoka . For the club he completed seven top division games. In 1998 he returned to the Urawa Reds. At the end of the 1999 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2000 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and rose again to the J1 League. For the club, he completed 10 first division games. In July 2002 he moved to the second division Omiya Ardija . In 2004 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and was promoted to the J1 League. For the club he completed 56 games. At the end of 2006 he ended his career as a football player.
