Tondi Gammé (also: Tondigamay , Tondigamey , Tondigamèye ) is a district of Niamey in Niger .

The district administratively belongs to the district (quartier) Pays Bas-Tondi Gammé , which is located in the south of the Arrondissement Niamey IV . Tondi Gammé is separated from Pays Bas , the other, further northwest half of the district, by gardens. To the northeast is Niamey Airport , to the southeast is the Aéroport I district and to the west is the Saga Sahara district . The settlement has comparatively wide streets and houses made of cement and adobe bricks and, unlike the neighboring Pays Bas, is considered an upscale residential area.

The place name comes from the Zarma language and can be translated as "between the rocks". The area was populated by cattle herders from the Kurtey ethnic group as early as the 1930s . Tondi Gammé was actually founded in the early 1980s by two brothers from the Saga Gassia Kouara district , who settled with their families on land inherited from their father. The two brothers sold parts of their land at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. The settlement continued to grow rapidly. An adobe mosque from the early days was replaced by a new building in 2006 with funds from Kuwait . In the following year a simple kindergarten was built. Tondi gamme, which is being administered initially by Saga Gassia Kouara, the home district of the founding brothers, was to 2012, Pays Bas for new district (quartier) together Pays Bas-Tondi gamme.
