Toni Bohm

Toni Böhm (born July 3, 1949 in Salzburg , † July 14, 2006 in Reichenau an der Rax , Lower Austria ) was an Austrian folk actor .

He completed the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. He started his theater career at the Schauspielhaus Graz . The Vienna Volkstheater engaged him in 1979, which then became his artistic home, in which he became the audience favorite in numerous productions.

In addition to the Volkstheater, Böhm has also performed at the United Bühnen Graz , the Freie Volksbühne Berlin, the Schauspiel Frankfurt and the Schauspiel Bonn, the Berliner Ensemble, the Salzburg Festival , the Schauspielhaus Wien and the Theater in der Josefstadt .

Toni Böhm has also appeared in numerous television productions, including Kaisermühlen Blues , Forever and Forever , Die Alpensaga and Julia - An Unusual Woman . He was also known to radio listeners as the voice of the “ Ö1 ” travel magazine Ambiente .

In 1994 and 2005 Böhm was awarded the Karl Skraup Prize .

On the night of July 13-14, 2006, Böhm died unexpectedly in a hotel room in Reichenau an der Rax, Lower Austria, where he was participating in the festival .
