Toni Schröder

Toni Schröder (born April 22, 1932 in Salzkotten ; † March 13, 2011 there ) was a German politician, former member of the state parliament ( CDU ) and honorary citizen of the city of Salzkotten.

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he completed an apprenticeship as a baker and passed the master craftsman examination in 1955 . Since 1959 he was an independent beverage wholesaler.

From 1964 on, Schröder was a member of the CDU. He was represented in numerous party committees, such as B. as chairman of the local union Salzkotten from 1966 to 1976 or as chairman of the city association of the senior citizens' union. From 1969 to 1994 he was the first deputy mayor of the city of Salzkotten.

He was particularly active in the cultural and cultural-historical area and campaigned for the city and its citizens for decades.

In 1988 Schröder received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany . In 2003 he was granted honorary citizenship of the city of Salzkotten.

From May 29, 1980 to May 30, 1990, Schröder was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in constituency 117 Paderborn I. He was a member of the city council of Salzkotten from 1965 to 1994.
