Tony Gibb

Anthony "Tony" Gibb (born July 12, 1976 in Stanmore , London Borough of Harrow ) is a British track and road cyclist .

Tony Gibb first became British Scratch and Madison Champion with James Taylor in 2000 . The next year the two riders defended their Madison title, and Gibb also became national championship points champions . In 2002 he won the silver medal in scratch at the track cycling world championships in Ballerup . At the Commonwealth Games in Manchester , he won the bronze medal in the same discipline. The following year he won the six-day race in Turin with Scott McGrory . From 2004 to 2006 he was again British champion in Madison with James Taylor.

On the road, Tony Gibb won the Eddie Soens Memorial in 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2008 . In the 2003 season he was successful on the second part of the Girvan Three Days . In 2005 he won the one-day races Jock Wadley Memorial , Bill Temme Memorial Meeting , Chris Ibbotson Memorial and the Fred Cowley Gizmono Grand Prix . In the 2007 season he again won a stage in the Girvan Three Days . Gibb has not had a contract with a team since 2010, but continues to compete in domestic races.
