history
Today's Toowoomba Region was created in 2008 from the City of Toowoomba and the seven Shires Cambooya, Clifton, Crow's Nest, Jondaryan, Millmerran, Pittsworth and Rosalie.
administration
The Toowoomba Regional Council has eleven members. The Mayor (mayor) and ten other Councilors are elected by all residents of the region. The LGA is not divided into electoral districts.
