Top 12 2016
The top 12 of 2016 was the 36th French team championship in chess .
The champions became the Club de Clichy-Echecs-92 , which relegated the defending champion Club de Bischwiller to second place. Cavalier Bleu Drancy , Les Tours de Haute Picardie and the Club de Nice Alekhine were promoted from Nationale I last year . While Les Tours de Haute Picardie and Nice achieved relegation, Drancy had to relegate together with the Club de L'Echiquier Chalonnais and Évry Grand Roque .

mode
The twelve participating teams played a simple round-robin tournament . The number of team points decided on the placement (3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, 1 point for a defeat, 0 points for a defeat without a fight). In the event of a tie, the first decision was the direct comparison, then the board point balance (difference between the number of winning and losing games).
Game dates
The competitions were played in Drancy from May 28th to June 7th, 2016 .
