The list of team squads of the Top 12 2016 contains all players who were entered for the French Top 12 2016 , the highest league in the French team championship in chess , with their individual results.
The participating teams were allowed to register a maximum of 16 players, including at least one French woman and one French man. Male and foreign players had to have an Elo rating of at least 2000. Not all clubs made use of the quota, so Bischwiller and Les Tours de Haute Picardie reported 15 players each and Montpellier 14. Not all of the reported players were also used. While Bischwiller, Bois-Colombes and Montpellier managed with nine players each, 14 players played at least one game at Les Tours de Haute Picardie. A total of 135 players were used, 44 of whom competed in all competitions.
The best point player was Jean-Pierre Le Roux (Bischwiller) with 9 points from 11 games. Maxime Vachier-Lagrave , Pawel Tregubow (both Clichy), Alexander Ipatov and Axel Bachmann (both Bois-Colombes) achieved 8.5 points each , whereby Vachier-Lagrave played 10 games, Tregubow, Ipatov and Bachmann 11 each with Salomé Neuhauser ( Mulhouse) and Loek van Wely (Clichy) two players achieved 100%, of which Neuhauser was used twice, van Wely once.

Victories without a fight are taken into account in the individual balance sheets, defeats without a fight are not taken into account.
According to the regulations, at least five of the players used in each competition must have French citizenship or be EU citizens residing in France. Since Cavalier Bleu Drancy did not meet this requirement in the competition against Clichy-Echecs-92, the games on boards 5 to 8 were counted as won for Clichy.
