Judith Fuchs (born January 23, 1990 in Leipzig ) is a German chess player .

Judith Fuchs learned to play chess from her father at the age of five. She passed her Abitur with 1.4 at the Friedrich-Arnold-Brockhaus-Schule in Leipzig and in her spare time she ran a chess group. She had various trainers, such as Lothar Vogt , Dr. Gottfried Braun and David Lobshanidze.
From 1999 to 2007 Judith Fuchs took part in all German youth individual championships, she won them in 2000 in the U10 female age group, 2006 in the U16 female age group and 2007 in the U18 female age group. She has been nominated several times for European Youth Championships and World Youth Championships .
Judith Fuchs has been an international champion (WIM) since 2009 , and she achieved the required standards at the 2008 Women's Chess Olympiad in Dresden and in the 2008/09 Women's League . In October 2017, Fuchs was appointed Grand Master of the women , she fulfilled the necessary standards in the seasons 2014/15 and 2015/16 of the German women's league and in July 2017 at the IM tournament of the VMCG chess festival in Lüneburg .
National team
Judith Fuchs represented Germany at the 2008 Women's Chess Olympiads (in the second team) in Dresden (4½ out of 9), 2010 in Khanty-Mansiysk (6½ out of 9) and 2016 in Baku (5½ out of 9).
She also took part in the Women's Mitropa Cup four times .
societies
Judith Fuchs played for SV Lok Leipzig-Mitte from 1998 to 2007 , most recently in the Oberliga Ost and in the 2nd Women's Bundesliga. From 2007 to 2011 she played at SC Leipzig-Gohlis in the Oberliga Ost (at times also in the 2nd Bundesliga ) and the 1st Women's Bundesliga . Since 2011, Fuchs has been playing for Hamburger SK in the 2nd Bundesliga and the 1st Women's Bundesliga. Since the 2015/16 season she has been playing in the Austrian women's Bundesliga for the Mayrhofen / SK Zell / Zillertal syndicate , with whom she won the title in 2018 , and in the French women's top 12, Fuchs played for CE de Bois-Colombes in 2016 and for Echiquier in 2017 Center Vaucluse .
